Workouts for Women Who Don’t Want to Get Big

So often girls are afraid of getting big, almost overnight. They are afraid to touch weights because they remember an old Arnie movie and are scared stiff that they will wake up in the morning with huge biceps and powerful thighs.

Well, sorry ladies but it doesn’t really work like that.

Even if you work yourself to the bone it is impossible to add muscle size unless you are consuming more than your maintenance calories.

You will get stronger, more lean and toned, but you won’t get bigger.

For this reason I recommend girls to do all the same calisthenics that guys do – things such as chin ups, pull ups, press up variations, handstand press ups, squats and other wild body weight workouts.

Lifting weights and cardio are both vital parts of fitness that should be included in a female workout, but only lift weights a couple of times a week max.

Here are some of the best exercises to lose fat, because let’s face it – most of us have a killer body underneath out body fat.
